VIA Technologies have developed a new laptop called NanoBook that is small enough as compared to a handheld computer.

This clamshell design device is only 9 inches wide, 6.7 inches deep, and 1.14 inches thick when closed and otherwise it is 230 mm by 171 mm by 29.4 mm. It weighs only 1.9 pounds that is approximately 850 grams and uses 1.2 GHz VIA C7-M processor that is proficient to run either Windows XP or Windows Vista Basic.

The NanoBook is created in conjunction with First International Computer, Inc., and it encompasses 7-inch, 800-by-400-pixel WVGA touchscreen, a full-size keyboard, a touchpad, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Its additional features includes place for MobilityPLUS Modules and also gives users Bluetooth VoIP phone, GPS, DVB, 3G/CDMA or Clock functionality, Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports and a 4-in-1 card reader.

According to the company the device offers up to 4.5 hours of battery life and users can also go for either 30 GB or 60 GB hard drive option.

To get this smart and ultra mobile device one has to shell $600 but no info about availability.
