It may sound like a new coffee drink. However, this is not edible. The ESPRIMO, although weirdly named, is not as ungainly as the name suggests. It works and works pretty well, too. The ESPRIMO has got the best of both worlds – looks and performance. Fujitsu-Siemens has now started eyeing the mid-range, business notebook market. This is evidenced from the release of this ESPRIMO Mobile series.

At first sight, the ESPRIMO appears like a lone ranger. Well, there is good reason for that. Not every notebook is based on the Santa Rosa chipset these days. The 12.1 inch, 14.5 inch and 15.4 inch variants of the ESPRIMO all run on Core 2 Duo and come with Intel’s GMA X3100 integrated graphics card, integrated UMTS, Bluetooth, and WLAN.

Additionally, all three models can accommodate a second battery. This gives them close to ten hours of life between recharges. That’s a delectable surprise. Fujitsu-Siemens is, however, mum about the price, which we believe wouldn’t be as isolated as the notebook.
