The latest news from the Intel Developers Conference is that the Intel is all set to drop its sub-$400 notebooks for emerging markets in Q1 of 2007. The newly announced Classmate PC will come equipped with ) Intel Celeron M processor, 7-inch 800 x 480 LCD, 256MB of DDR2 RAM, 1GB of NAND goodness, and a 6-cell Li-ion battery.

While the machine runs on Windows XP embedded OS, we don’t have any info about the connectivity support and the ports. Taiwan’s Uniwill Computer will take care of the production of these machines which have already been ordered by Mexico, Brazil, Nigeria and India.
