We talked a lot about the new 15-inchers MacBook Pro but we are still waiting for the 17-inchers. Sadly, customers will have to wait a bit more for the delivery of their 17-inches MacBook Pros since Apple has stated in an e-mail to its online customers:

We are unable to ship your 17-inch MacBook Pro by the date given when you placed the order. It is now expected to ship on or before 11/14/06. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause and we are making every effort to ship this unit as soon as possible.

Apple hasn’t disclosed the reasons for this delay. So, those who are feverishly waiting to lay their hands on the 17-inchers need to wait till Nov. 14. I will let you know about the reasons for delay if I stumble upon the fact.
