Samsung promises high-end technology in its second generation Q1 Ultra UMPC

Samsung announced its second generation Q1 Ultra UMPC during the press conference at Cebit exhibition in Hanover, Germany. The company has rolled its second generation UMPC with lighter weight and more power to rectify inadequacy in technology applied in original Q1 PC . Weighing just 690 grams this Q1 Ultra is 12% percent lighter than the original Q1 that weighs somewhere around 780 grams and is also slightly smaller in measurement that is 228 millimeters by 124mm by 24 mm. The PC is refined with some other changes too that include 7-inch touchscreen LCD with 1,024-pixel by 600-pixel resolution, hardware keypad that is divided into two parts on each side of the device and facilitates users to type while holding the PC with their both hands. The Q1 Ultra UMPC contain 800MHz Intel Corp. microprocessor, 1G byte of double data rate 2 memory, an external USB keyboard, mobile version of WiMax, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, WiBro and support High-Speed Downlink Packet Access networks. The prices are $1,300 to $2,000 depending on the processor you pick.
