I can’t say what happened to Samsung (a strong Blu-ray buff) that it is showing its love for the HD-DVD. Well, Samsung has announced the HD DVD support for its M55 laptop that held the title of “world’s thinnest and lightest 17-inch widescreen at 30.5 to 34.4mm thick and 2.99kg’ earlier.
The picture resolution has also been increased to 1920×1200. Other salient features of the machine are Intel T2500 Core processor, 256MB GeForce 7600 Go graphics, up to 120GB of SATA disk, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and in and outs including HDMI and S/PDIF.
Samsung is expected to introduce the M55 stuffed with HD-DVD for an estimated price of €3,000 ($3,810).
