panasonic_logoPanasonic seems to be saying like ‘Prevention is better than cure’. Well, after the major recall of affected batteries by Dell and Apple, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. has recalled 6,000 lithium-ion batteries being used in Panasonic notebooks.

The fear that the affected batteries might overheat or explode, the battery recall has been started for the Let’s Note CF-W4G notebook PCs. Mind that these batteries are not made by Sony Corp.

Anyway, the count is very small as compared to that of Dell (4.1 million) and Apple (1.8 million). This move by Panasonic is worth appreciation.
