The Option Technology has launched a GlobeTrotter EXPRESS 7.2 card that can provide up to 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity through ExpressCard slot in your notebook.

As the name suggests when plugged this card will automatically scan for networks for HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS. In order to provide the best and the fastest connectivity to your laptop. It will work with the 3.6 Mbps HSDPA and can be then easily upgraded to 7.2Mbps through firmware upgrade.

The product comes with the ‘Option’s’ patented zero CD technology which means that you just have to plug it in to your laptops express card slot and all the software and drivers will be automatically up loaded to your PC/notebook. It is also compatible to old PC’s which use Type II PC card slots.

The card is compatible to almost all the modern OS that the PC/laptops can have.

The Options will start shipping the cards from January next year and with Cingular planning to launch their HSDPA service this card will and can take the full advantage of this Cingular’s endeavor.
