Earlier, we talked of the new feature in the new MacBook Pros and that was the green LED indicator. This time, a new thing has come into the limelight that the new MacBook Pros run cooler than the earlier ones.

Jason at blogs.zdnet has revealed the fact that his old MacBook Pro clocked at 2.0GHz (2GB RAM and 160GB hard drive) reached the soaring temperature of 162° Fahrenheit after one hour usage while the new Core 2 Duo enabled MacBook Pro running at 2.33GHz ran for around 4 hours and the temperature rose to mere 122° Fahrenheit.

The expected reason for this upgrade might be the upgrade to the System Management Controller that directs the power functions. Is there anyone out there else than Jason who has experienced the same with their new Core 2 Duo powered MacBook Pro?
