NEC has dropped the new cool looking LaVie J ultraportable and LaVie G series multimedia notebooks. The LaVie J series ultraportable comes rocking an Intel Core Duo U2400 processor, up to 120GB of hard drive space, Intel’s 945GMS Express integrated graphics set, up to 2GB RAM, dual-layer DVD burner, three USB 2.0 ports, 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, SD / SDHC slot, PCMCIA, audio in / out, and VGA out. The vista equipped laptop comes in grain or urban black and will hit the shelves next month for an estimated price of 200,000 ($1,660). The LaVie C series multimedia notebook boasts a 15.4′ widescreen with resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels, 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7200, a 160GB hard drive, and is packed in a size of 374x292x45.2 – 55.5mm. It also comes with a blu-ray drive but considering the screen resolution, it won’t be too cool to watch high-def movies on it. Engadget/Newlaunches
