CES 2007 saw a new notebook from MSI ‘GX700′; it will be the first to incorporate the Intel’s forthcoming Mobile 965 Express chipset which has been till now better known as Crestline. This chipset will support the Intel’s new Santa Rosa platform.
This 17-incher notebook will have 1440 x 900 resolution and has got nVidia NB8P graphics card that gives crystal clear images. With this you will also find 802.11a/b/g wireless with inbuilt Bluetooth, LAN, 4-in-1 card reader and Express card slot. Although why 802.11n did not find a mention in all this jargon is not known.
The forthcoming Santa Rosa platform aka Centrino will have Intel Core 2 Duo Merom processor with 800 MHz front bus.
This platform is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2007.
