The new xTablet T8600 from the house of MobileDemand is the new entrant to the family of rugged tablet PCs. The rugged device touts its barcode scanning and magnetic stripe reading capabilities. The innards of the tablet PC include a 1.1GHz Intel Centrino processor, 8.4-inch display, incorporated Barcode reader, 1.28 GB RAM, shock resistant 40GB hard drive, optional EV-DO / EDGE / GPRS / GSM, and 802.11 a/b/g wireless, and Bluetooth. The xTablet T8600 is claimed to function well at extreme temperatures. Its enhanced bright LCD display and dual touch screen add to the beauty of the rugged device. Pricing is not yet known.
