I thought it was over. But, it’s not. Now, PC maker Lenovo has now recalled once again about 100,000 lithium-ion batteries used in ThinkPad laptops owing to four reports of the overheating with Sanyo-made batteries. Lenovo further commented that the batteries can overheat and create a fire hazard if the laptop is dropped. Whel one ThinkPad went up in smoke last year; Lenovo recalled 526,000 rechargeable, lithium-ion Sony batteries. That was a part of the major 10 million Sony batteries recall world wide. The latest recall caters to batteries made by Japan’s Sanyo Electric Co.
