quadroKentsfield quad-core desktop processor will be officially named as “Core 2 Quadro”, states Intel. The first machine to be in the series will be in the Extreme version i.e. Core 2 Extreme QX6700 that will move into the market in the middle of November. The gaming notebook will be powered by a 2.66 GHz processor. Intel Taiwan has denied to comment much on the machines.

Anyway, Intel is also planning to introduce its first Core 2 Duo-derived Celeron M budget notebook processors in Q1 2007. The low-voltage Core 2 Duo will be the L7200 (1.33 GHz) and L7400 (1.5 GHz) priced at $284 and $316 respectively.
