Dell has revealed the new Dell Wireless 1500 draft-802.11n dual-band wireless mini card for upgrading all XPS and select Inspiron notebooks.
With this built-in 802.11n card, the data transfer would be possible at the rate of 270 Mbps, when linked to the wireless draft-802.11n network router featuring Intensi-fi technology.
The technology is based on the 1.0 draft of the IEEE 802.11n specification. You need to shell out measly $59 to upgrade your notebook with this mini wireless card.

Dell Reveals Built-In 802.11n Wireless Card

Comments
I just took delivery of a Dell Inspiron with the new draft-n card. I have spent hours on calls with Dell tech support as well as Belkin level 2 tech support trying to figure out why it won’t work with my Belkin Pre N router, even if it is sending 802.11 b/g signals. I’m really fed up with the card and am going to demand that Dell change it out for one that works across all major router manufacturers. The card seems to work fine at my business where another brand router is deployed.
Wireless problems with DELL M1710 laptop,
As well, I’ve developed wireless connection problems with my Dell M1710. It started out staying connected just fine with my Verizon DSL high speed internet. Then within days the connection would drop out unexpectedly. I’m still trying to work with DELL express service technicians to resolve this issue.
new dell 1505 with 1500 draft wireless card wont work at all with belkin pre-n Dell replaced catd with a g card
My Dell 1500 n card did not work at all with my Linksys SRX400 router. Tried everything plus 2 hours on the phone with Dell (mostly on hold). I found a driver update on the Dell site that gives me SOME limited connectivity. I usually connect at 54 but end up at 5.5mbps.
I have to go through some long and painful process with Dell to return my 1500 card, get a refund and then buy a new Intel g card. Not a very acceptable compromise. BTW the 1500 works fine with D-Link.
why do i lose my connection with my Dell Wireless 1500 draft-802.11n dual-band wireless mini card and have to constantly go to the device manager to get the thing activated again?
i did not have any problem with lost connections with my old Dell slow poke wireless adapter: I got a solid 54 mbps.
