As every coin has two sides so do these high-tech products. It is not the first time that technology has put the human life in danger. So many mishappenings took place due to cell phone batteries, now you might be shooting yourself in the foot by using a laptop.

While the Dell is still investing the case when its laptop caught fire at a conference in Osaka, Japan, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is considering the laptop batteries as the root cause of the fire that caught US cargo plane last February. Luckily, the crew on board UPS flight 1307 escaped with only minor injuries. Thought the NTSB has not blamed officially the laptop lithium-ion batteries to set the fire on plane, the FAA’s Harry Webster has revealed that lithium-ion batteries can vent flammable liquid and “pose a risk to the cargo compartment’.

The investigation is on the way and might take months for NTSB to arrive at a conclusion but you be careful next time you use your laptop.
