Keeping this in mind coming to give you company are Twinhead’s two rugged note books presented before the world in CES 2007.
The DURABOOK D13RY and DURABOOK D14RY have Intel Core Duo and Core 2 Duo processors under their hood with casing of magnesium alloy and shock resistant design. The casing not only provides better survival odds for the notebook but also protects LCD and HDD and is 20 times stronger than ABS plastic casing.
The spill resistant feature stops the spills and beer from reaching the super sensitive parts of the device. The TPM or Trusted platform Module provides best data security against the loss or theft of notebook.
D13RY has a 13-incher WXGA TFT LCD screen with a 1.3-megapixel webcam. While D14RY gives you a 14-inch WXGA TFT LCD screen.
Both notebooks are capable of passing the US militaries 810F standards and can survive the 29-inch drop on hard surfaces.
There are three options in the HDD department either you can take a 60 GB HDD or go for the 80 or 100 GB version.
Other features include Intel Graphics Media accelerator 950 with LAN, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features.
These are Vista ready notebooks but come pre-loaded with Windows XP.
