After the ill-fated battery explosions and the battery recall of around 8 million notebook batteries using Sony-manufactured lithium-ion cells, a notable laptop battery shortage has been reported along with the inflation of around 15% in the battery pricing. It is expected to increase more in the Q4 of the current year. Customers are facing the problem of late shipments as they are forced to wait for extra two months. The worst part of the story is that the battery shortage will be there until June next year.
