Intel is busy making new announcements for next gen laptops these days. After announcing the Nokia’s HSDPA, 80-Core CPU and the Quadro Chips, Intel has now revealed its plans to integrate NAND flash memory into its next gen machines that will double the performing capacity in some of the operations.
What’s good about the NAND flash is that it doesn’t feature any movable parts and preserves data even without any power supply. The NAND flash memory will be featured as a part of its Santa Rosa notebooks. Intel chief, Sean Maloney even gave a demo in which a PC with flash booted in about half the time than that which was without any memory.
The notebook platform featuring the NAND on the motherboard is likely to come in the first half of next year.
