children machine

Finally, the famed $100 OLPC (One Laptop per Child) laptop has got an official name. It will be called ‘CM1‘ or ‘The Children’s Machine‘ and the name suits it truly. The innovative concept by Nicholas Negroponte aroused a great hype in the world community. The key specifications of the CM1 are 7.5-inch 1200×900 pixel TFT screen, mesh-network and 400MHz AMD Geode processor. The CM1 was designed with a view to revolutionize the way the children are educated. The cheap laptop enables the children to explore the vast resources available on the internet. Many countries including Nigeria ordered the noble concept while India denied the proposal. The enthralling news is that more and more countries are adopting the Children’s Machine for the students. Moreover, we don’t need to spell the long name now. Just say CM1.
